- Trinity Arrangements
Discussion:
LD highlighted the seating arrangements/ 280 capacity/ with stall arrangements for agencies and that refreshments would be available along with some donated contributions of food.
SN confirmed that the Equalities Team were contributing £1k to support the event at Trinity and officer time to include BSL interpreters.
Suggestions from the group as to whether further funds were required beyond current offer – not required in order to achieve the objectives of the 23rd.

LD: To liaise with Freddie on arrangements for Trinity and confirm the content at next meeting.
LD: Confirm arrangements for changing facilities for Trans people
SN: To confirm booking of BSL interpreters.

Discussion:
CM – highlighted the legal changes internationally/ nationally difficulties in working with trans communities and agreed to take the lead on ensuring Trans issues are addressed. She mentioned the meeting of Trans Matters and noted the low attendance in visible Trans people – a point the group discussed further in terms of ensuring the publicity and communications reiterated the safe place for discussion.
There was agreement on the development of a single LGBT manifesto covering the bredth of diversity of LGBT people with an appendix
Those unable to attend the event can still input online via the online survey that will be produced to compliment the learning and promoted through Crossroads (a Trans group).
It was noted that changing rooms are available for people to change prior to the start of the event.

CM agreed to facilitate a Transgender table on the night.
CM to liaise directly with LD regarding any promotional materials.

Discussion:
There are approx. 20 agencies that have signed up for stalls at the event.
Gender neutral toilet signs to be placed at the toilets with what’s in the toilet.
Presentation packs that have posters/ flyers promoting the event are available from Leighton.
A stand promoting the 23rd will be displayed at the Councils HQ suggested that others considered using the packs in their agencies.
Darren raised the issue of the flag arrangements and will discuss arrangements with Trinity
Helen suggested that Trinity might use their lighting display on the outside of Trinity.
Online registration now open the group were encourage to start signing up themselves and promoting to others.

All: Promote the online registration for the event & to distribute promotional packs
Workshops & Facilitators
The group discussed the plans for a maximum of 8 short provocation statement/ position (2 minutes) then allowing participants to focus in on their tables with suggestions as to what could be done?
Each presentation will have to be specific and will be time restricted as will the further table discussions to ensure that after each there is time for the next presentation and so on until all 8 have been discussed and feedback gathered from the facilitators.
There will be 10 tables each with at least 1 facilitator to take notes (people volunteered and Leighton has their details).
